Structural Analysis of Planar Geometries for 3D Printing
Introduction
The finite element method was integrated into a MFC application framework to investigate the implementation of a structural topology optimization (STO) algorithm for planar geometries as described in [1]. Structural topology optimization can finally be applied to industry because of additive manufacturing (AM) where design for this manufacturing method provides the design greater flexibility. Ultimately, STO schemes are used to design lighter designs without compensating strength.
Implementation
The implementation can be found on my Github repository @myFemTest.
